West Side Baptist Church of Fontana is guided by core values outlined here
We value the scripture as God’s word and as the final authority for our faith and practice (Matthew 5:17-19; John 14:15, 21, 23; 17:17; II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
We value humble submission to Jesus controlling our lives each day (Luke 14:25-35; Matthew 11:28-30; 16:24-26). “There is no compartmentalization of the faith, no realm, no sphere, no business, no politic in which the lordship of Christ will be excluded. We either make him Lord of all lords, or we deny him as Lord of any.”
We value making everything we do an act of worship because of Who God is and what He has done, what He is doing, and what He is going to do (Rom. 12:1-2; John 4:19-24; Matt. 28:16- 17).
We value the on-going verbal and non-verbal communication from God and toward God anytime, anywhere, and for any reason (Col. 4:2; I Sam. 3:1-10; Matt. 6:5-15).
We value telling others how they can get right with God through Jesus and helping them become obedient followers of Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).
We value demonstrating Christ-like love toward each other and sharing this same love with non-Christians (John 13:34-35; Mark 12: 29-31).
We value giving Jesus a lifetime of exceptional effort in all that we do (Col. 3:23- 24; Matt. 25:14-30)
Welcome to West Side Baptist Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:
It's important to us that you feel welcome when visiting. We hope our atmosphere will help you feel relaxed and comfortable. The music and worship are built around Biblical themes that are timeless. We are glad to have you join us in worship! You will be greeted and welcomed.
No matter your family dynamics, you're welcome at West Side Baptist Church and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. During our worship service we have care available for infants and children. Your children will receive real spiritual training from a group of caring leaders during this time.
From the pulpit you will hear sound expository preaching. The focus of each sermon is built around the point of the Biblical text being addressed.
Here at West Side Baptist Church, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged and to be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a Church family that lives out their faith together.
