On Solid Ground

Our character indicates where we are spiritually. When we are in the right place, doing the right things, we are standing on Solid Ground. This means that we are secure in our belief system. We are putting God first, following His commanments and doing those things that He has outlined in His Word.
Solid Ground is being in a relationship with God, having the fear of God in our members. This fear doesn’t mean being afraid, it is having an awesome respect for Him, not want

Inside Reflection

Most of us are playing a part in this life. It doesn’t mean that we are phony or have ulterior motives. It simply means that we try to address what we need to be when we need to be it. When there are times when our actions are not understood because of our outward facade, it is then that we want to shift blame on someone else, trying to make them believe it’s them. We must have Inside Reflection. Being able to look inwardly and to adjust our outward proclamation onto our

Remembering Mother

It is a great acknowledgment of this nation to recognize the accomplishments that a mother has performed in the life of her children. God allowed mothers to be the cradle of our existence. None of us would have been here if it weren’t for our mothers. She taught us how to care for ourselves and be respectful to others. It was her that we saw when we first opened our eyes to this new world. It was her hand that guided us to learn about God and to accept His teaching. W...

Keep the fire burning

I have often wondered how the fire continues to burn in the hearts of the people of God. This fire was set ablaze when Jesus gave the mandate to go into all nations, baptizing and teaching them the things that Jesus had commanded.
It is the Spirit of God that dwells in us that motivates us to continue to do the work we have been assigned. We can’t do Evangelism without the Spirit of God moving in us so that we can speak about the goodness of God. It is a Holy and Spiritual

Straddling the Fence

To remain neutral, undecided and committed to nothing, is falling into Satan’s trap. That old saying, "If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything" is a true saying. The Devil wants us to be undecided so that he can manipulate us into falling for his schemes. If we are not on God’s side, we are on the devil's side. There is no way we can be neutral, not going one way or the other. We must make a decision.
The Bible talks about the "Narrow Way". Matthew 7:13-1

The Call to Courage

Having the strength to move forward while not regarding the danger is being courageous, having the ability not to give up even though it is hazardous and harmful. There may be no one following, when we are on this trek and most of the time we are alone. This is when we do not depend on ourselves. We must gather strength from on high, from God. He said that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
When we are being led by the Spirit of God, we realize that with Him we are a m

Don’t Worry be Happy

There was a song that was sung some years ago called "Don’t Worry be Happy" by Bobby Mcferrin. The song says that regardless of what is going on in your life or what we may be going through, it will all pass. So, we as children of God shouldn’t worry about things that are beyond us. We cannot worry and trust God at the same time. We either worry or we trust. We can’t do both.
It is recorded in Luke 12:22, that Jesus says, "Do not worry about temporal things, what we should

Pray for our Leaders

It seems like the world is in turmoil. We are experiencing some of the most horrific challenges now more than ever. It is easy for us to turn and blame leaders for what is happening, after all they are the ones who are executing commands and judgements. However, we should be introspective and look inward. Perhaps, if we prayed for our leaders more and stood in the gap while they were trying to make decisions, it may have made a difference in their decisions. 1 Timothy 2:1-

God Gives Directions That Are Difficult To Understand Why
by: Pastor Clay Jackson

We are fallible human beings, and because we are associated in the environment of humanity with an inquisitive nature, we need to know why. Why do we need to do things this way or that way? Why shouldn’t we know what the outcome will be before we engage ourselves in a certain activity? Faith is trusting God regardless of the outcome. If God said it, I believe it and that settles it.
God told Abraham to go to a land that He would show him, and God said that He would make hi

Facing Opposing Forces With Faith
by: Pastor Clay Jackson

God is the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. We must trust Him to make a way for us through the wilderness of opposition. Because we are children of God, the enemy will oppose us in every direction. He will try to disrupt our desire to have a close relationship with God. The enemy will tell us that God doesn’t care about us and even try to tell us that there is no God. The enemy is a mighty foe, but God is Almighty. We must trust God. When the tide changes direction an...

Facing Impossible Odds

When our problems look bigger than our solutions, we are Facing Impossible Odds. When the clouds of despair seem to accumulate over our peaceful tranquility, we are Facing Impossible Odds. Job 14:1 says, “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.” We must develop a strategy and a plan that when we get bombarded with life’s troubles, there is an exit off-ramp. That off-ramp is the Lord. Psalm 27:5, “For in the time of trouble, He will hide me in His pavilion, in

Facing Opposition

We will be confronted with the difficulties of this life. There will be road blocks, potholes, hills and valleys, but we must trust in the Lord to guide and direct us through these difficult periods in life.
There are people that are prone to not go along with you, even though we may have prayed about it and have been given directions.. These people may be opposed to the way we have tried to accomplish what God has entrusted us with. However, we cannot let people get in

The Church, A refuge for Sinners
by: Pastor Clay Jackson

The Church is a sacred place for worship. It is a place where we go on a regular basis to be with others that have the same things in common. We worship together and pray together and the camaraderie we share brings us closer to God and to each other.
We discipline ourselves to adhere to the teaching of the Word of God. We don’t use the church as a hiding place. Jeremiah 7:11 speaks about using the house of God to hide from evil deeds that are done contrary to our confe

In Bad Times - Trust God
by: Pastor Clay Jackson

We are living in tough times and it seems like there is no end. Not everything is going in the direction that would benefit us. Because we have accepted the Lord Jesus as our Savior we are not exempt from hardship. It rains on the just and also on the unjust.
Proverbs 3:5 says "Trust in the Lord…" We must trust in the Lord though things are tough. We profess our allegiance to God and claim that we trust Him… When times are tough we must stand on what we profess.

Even though we are experiencing difficult times, it can be worse. The elected official that occupies the highest office in this land was elected because he ran on the idea that he was going to make things better. There were many that believed in him.
We cannot put our trust in man. Man will let us down. We must put our trust in God. He will never leave us or forsake us. He gives power to the faint and those that have no might He increases strength.
Therefore, we must operat
